Born on April 14, 1960 in Kutaisi , in 1982 he graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute , in 1990 - the Faculty of Journalism of TSU named after Javakhishvili .
In 1981-1991, he worked as a sports commentator for the Georgian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, reported on the Mayak radio station in Moscow, and in the late 1980s prepared stories for the USSR Central TV .
