Frans Wilhelm “Ville” Horneman ( Fin. Frans Wilhelm Horneman ; December 24, 1897 - November 28, 1964 ) subsequently changed his name to Pörhel ( Fin. Pörhölä ) - Finnish athlete, Olympic champion.

Frans Wilhelm Hornemann was born in 1897 on the island of Ryuttya near Tornio ( Grand Duchy of Finland ). Since he was very large, he was nicknamed "Bear from Ryuttya" ( Fin. Röyttän karhu ). At the Antwerp Olympics in 1920, he won a gold medal in shot put; also took part in competitions in discus throwing and throwing 56-pound cargo, but did not achieve results in them. At the Paris Olympics in 1924, he again took part in shot put competitions, but this time he was only the seventh. In the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, Villa Pöröhl won a silver medal in hammer throw competitions. In 1934, at the European Championships in Athletics, he won a gold medal in hammer throwing. In 1936, he took part in the Olympic Games in Berlin , but this time he became the eleventh in the hammer throw.
