Vasily Sergeevich Naryshkin ( December 21, 1737 ( January 1, 1738 ) - November 3 ( 15 ) 1800 - major general from the Naryshkin family, the organizer of the Ignatovskoye-Znamenskoye estate.

The son of Major General Sergei Mikhailovich Naryshkin (1706-1765) and his first wife, Alexandra Vladimirovna, nee Narbekova (1713-1752) [1] . The second marriage was married to the daughter of General-General M.I. Leontyev .
Vasily Naryshkin began serving in the Life Guards Izmailovsky Regiment . He took part in the enthronement of Catherine II .
Having served up to the rank of Major General, he retired and settled on his estate, the village of Znamensky , in the Tarusa district of Kaluga province . He was actively engaged in its improvement.
In Moscow, by order of Naryshkin, a large mansion was built in 5, Maly Kazenny Lane (later the Police Hospital ). He was buried in the cemetery of the Novospassky Monastery .
Family
General Naryshkin was married to Countess Anna Ivanovna Vorontsova ( October 12 ( 23 ), 1750 - May 5 ( 17 ), 1805 ), the eldest daughter of Count I. I. Vorontsov , the granddaughter of the Cabinet Minister Volynsky . According to a contemporary, Naryshkina was a lively and important lady, she led her humble husband in everything and she was very crushed by his unaristocratic, unassuming habits [2] . In marriage had four children:
- Ivan (1779-1818), state adviser, grandfather of A. A. Naryshkin
- Ekaterina Ivanovna , the heiress of the Ignatovskoye estate, the wife of the memoirist M.D. Buturlin .
- Praskovya (1783-1812), a girl.
- Maria (1791–1863), in the first marriage for Major General Count K. A. Balmen , in the second marriage for A. D. Olsufiev .
- Dmitry (1792-1831), the Taurian governor, was married to Natalia (1797-1866), daughter of Count F.V. Rostopchin ; they have sons:
- Fedor (1821-1870), married to Princess Tatyana Nikolaevna Dolgorukova.
- Anatoly (1829–1883), chamberlain, married to Princess Elizabeth Alekseevna Kurakina (1838–1928), State Lady and Ober-Hoffmeister of Empress Alexandra Fedorovna , cavalier lady ; they have a son Cyril
