History

The Karavaevsky rural settlement was established on December 30, 2004 in accordance with the Law of the Kostroma Region No. 237-ZKO ^[2] , the status and boundaries of the municipality are established.

On February 1, 2013, in accordance with the Law of the Kostroma Region dated December 28, 2012 No. 324-5-ЗКО ^{[3], the} Karavaevsky rural settlement was merged with the abolished Kotovsky rural settlement .
