Andrei Georgyevich Kuptsov (b. February 9, 1950 ) - Russian writer, author of books on the alternative history of Russia and, mainly, on weapons topics. Kuptsov wrote many books, the most famous of which is “The Strange History of Weapons”. He criticized the Kalashnikov assault rifle [1] .

In 2008, the writer and publicist A. P. Nikonov in the book “Beat the First !: the main riddle of the Second World War” noted that Kuptsov “cleverly breaks” Viktor Suvorov ’s assertion that Hitler was not preparing for war against the USSR (since mutton was not produced sheepskin coats and winter lubricants for military equipment were not purchased). Kuptsov's works are criticized [4] . So, according to Anatoly Wasserman , “Andrei Georgievich’s ignorance is even more amazing. <...> Almost every phrase can be refuted by Kuptsov ” [5] .
In the review of Kuptsov’s book “The Strange History of Weapons. S. G.
