Biography
Representative of the Polish noble family of the Yazlovets coat of arms " Abdank ". The youngest (fourth) son of the hetman of the great crown and governor of Podolsk Jerzy (Yuri) Yazlovetsky ( 1510 - 1575 ) and Elzbieta Tarlo, daughter of the cup-holder of the great crown crown Jan Tarlo (d. 1550 ) and Dorothea Tarnovskaya (d. Before 1540 ).
He was raised in Calvinism . In 1585, Jerome Yazlovetsky was sent to study abroad. During his trip, he was under the care of the canon of Lviv and Probst Rogatinsky Perlitsky, on September 27 he signed up for studies at the University of Ingolstadt in Bavaria. During training, he moved from Calvinism to the Roman Catholic faith , becoming an ardent supporter of Catholicism.
After returning from abroad to his homeland, Jerome Yazlovetsky began military service, participated in constant battles with the Crimean Tatars and Wallach, as well as the Turks in Hungary. They wrote about him that battles are a toy for him, the camp is home, the horse is a seat, the carapace is clothes, dancing with the Tatars is fun .
Like his father, Jerome Yazlovetsky participated in a campaign in the Turkish fortress Ochakov . He had a conflict with the Potocki (in 1598 he carried out an armed attack on the Gorodok belonging to the brothers Jan , Andrzej , Jakub and Stefan Potocki ), Stanislav the Devil Stadnitsky and Konstantin Kornyakt .
In 1605, Jerome Yazlovetsky received the post of governor of Podolsk . During a visit to the voivode of the Russian Stanislav Golsky in Podgaytsy, he had a conflict with Wojciech Kopichinsky, sent his servants to him who attacked and killed him.
In 1606, during the anti-royal rebellion (rokosh) under the leadership of Nikolai Zebrzydowski governor, Podolsky Jerome Yazlovetsky spoke on the side of the Polish king Stanislav III Vazy . He traveled to Istanbul with diplomatic missions, was elected ambassador to the Sejm in 1600 and a deputy of the crown tribunal .
He continued the construction of the Yazlovets castle , begun by his father.
He died at the beginning of 1607 , was buried in the church of the Dominicans in Yazlovets .
With the death of Jerome, the male line of the Yazlovetsky family was suppressed. After the death of Jerome, his estate was inherited by his sister Yadviga Belzhetskaya (d. 1641 ), the wife of captain Andrzej Belzhetsky.
Family
He married Princess Eleanor of Ostrog ( 1582 - 1618 ), daughter of the governor of Volyn and Kastelian Krakowski , Prince Janusz Konstantinovich of Ostrog ( 1554 - 1620 ) and Susanna Seredi ( 1566 - 1596 ). The marriage was childless. In 1609, Eleanor of Ostrog was remarried to a Trojan cousin and the ordinate of Nesvizh , Prince Jan Jerzy Radziwill ( 1588 - 1625 ).
