List of episodes of the American television series Motel Bates . The television series was shot by A&E , the authors of the idea are Carlton Cuse , Kerry Erin and Anthony Cipriano [1] . The show was based on the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock cult film Psycho and tells about the life of Norman Bates and his mother Norma before the events told in the first film and the novel by Robert Bloch [2] [3] .

Norma meets with the administrator of the institution, finds out that monthly maintenance for Norman will cost at least $ 20,000. Once again, Bradley Martin visits his home, pogroms, steals money and jewelry. She persuades Norman to run with her and start a new life. Norma decides to talk seriously with Norman, tells him about the boarding house, that she is worried about his condition and wants to help. They quarrel again, Norman accuses his mother of frivolity and runs away to his room. Norma finds him trying to escape from home, trying to stop, Norman says that he is going to leave with Bradley, that he is tired of the emergency custody of his mother. She takes extreme measures, ties him up, locks him in the basement and calls Dylan for help. Dylan arrives, it turns out that Norman escaped through the window. Norma believes that Norman has finally lost touch with reality. Dylan admits to the mother that they, along with his brother and Bradley, initiated the girl's suicide. Norman escapes with Bradley.
