Born in 1857 in the Kuopio province of the Grand Duchy of Finland . In 1912, at the Olympic Games in Stockholm , speaking for the Finnish team, he took part in competitions in shooting disciplines. He won the bronze medal in the team championship in single shots at the “running deer”, but in the individual championship was only 22nd.
