Agglomerator is one of the main [1] types of equipment for processing waste of thin-walled materials, performing the agglomeration operation - a process in which an agglomerate is obtained from relatively thin raw materials of film-based waste that occupy a large volume.
Agglomerate is a dense balls of irregular shape, used as an independent secondary raw material for molding on thermoplastic machines, and mixed with primary raw materials for further processing, including extrusion [2] .

Purpose
- Agglomeration of polymer film waste.
- Crushing films.
- Drying wet raw materials.
- High speed mixer.
Principle of Operation
Film waste is loaded through the loading window into the working chamber. By rotating knives, the waste ( HDPE , LDPE , PP , stretch ) is crushed, due to the friction of the film flakes on the body - they are agglomerated (heated and rolled into irregular shaped balls). At the moment when the processed mass reaches the consistency of a sticky porridge-like thick mass, the operator delivers 100-800 ml of water (so-called shock water ) in portions. Under the action of water, the mass of the agglomerate is divided into separate parts, for some time the mass is dried and then unloaded into a container prepared in advance.
Designs
- By the number of rotors:
- single rotor agglomerators
- two-rotor agglomerators
