Anori ( Spanish: Anorí ) is a city and municipality in northern Colombia , in the Antioquia department. It is part of the Northeast Antioquia subregion .

History
The settlement, from which the city later grew, was founded in 1808 . The municipality of Anori was separated into a separate administrative unit in 1821 .
Geographical position
The city is located in the north-eastern part of the department, in the highlands of Central Cordillera , at a distance of approximately 96 kilometers northeast of Medellin , the administrative center of the department. The absolute height is 1522 meters above sea level [1] .
The municipality of Anori borders in the north with the municipalities of Taras , Cáceres and Zaragoza , in the north-west with the municipalities of Valdivia and Yarumal , in the west with the municipality of Campamento , in the south with the municipality of Guadalupe , in the east and southeast with the municipality of Amalfi , in northeast - with the municipalities of Segovia and Zaragoza . The area of the municipality is 1430 km² [2] .
Population
According to the National Administrative Department of Statistics of Colombia, the total population of the city and municipality in 2012 was 16,447 people [3] . The dynamics of the population of the municipality by years:

According to the 2005 census, men accounted for 50.6% of the Anori population, women - 49.4%, respectively. Racially, whites and mestizos accounted for 96% of the city's population; Negroes , mulattoes and Raisals - 3.8%, Indians - 0.2% [4] . The literacy rate among people over 15 years old was 84.3%.
Economics
The basis of the economy of Anori is livestock , crop production , mining and logging.
55.9% of the total number of urban and municipal enterprises are trade enterprises, 33.3% are service enterprises, 5% are industrial enterprises, 5.8% are enterprises of other sectors of the economy [4] .
