Getting

  • In nature, there is a mineral ferroselite - FeSe 2 with various impurities.
  • Fusion of pure substances in vacuum:
Fe+2Se→TFeSe2{\ displaystyle {\ mathsf {Fe + 2Se \ {\ xrightarrow {T}} \ FeSe_ {2}}}} {\displaystyle {\mathsf {Fe+2Se\ {\xrightarrow {T}}\ FeSe_{2}}}}
  • Fusion of iron (II) selenide and selenium in vacuum:
FeSe+Se→TFeSe2{\ displaystyle {\ mathsf {FeSe + Se \ {\ xrightarrow {T}} \ FeSe_ {2}}}} {\displaystyle {\mathsf {FeSe+Se\ {\xrightarrow {T}}\ FeSe_{2}}}}
  • The effect of selenium hydrogen on iron (III) chloride at a red-hot temperature.

Physical Properties

Iron dyslenide forms black rhombic syngonies , space group Pnnm , cell parameters a = 0.4789 nm, b = 0.574 nm, c = 0.3577 nm, Z = 2.
