Biography

Born in a family of workers, education - general secondary. Member of the CPSU (b). In the bodies of the OGPU – NKVD since 1931, having begun work as a trainee of the security officer of the economic department of the OGPU of the Georgian SSR. In 1937-1939 Deputy Head of the Investigative Part of the NKVD of the Georgian SSR , in 1939–1945 - Head of the Investigation Unit, Deputy Head of the NKVD Directorate for the Lviv region . From March 14, 1941, deputy head of the UNKVD in the Yaroslavl region , from May 12, 1943 to May 7, 1945, head of the UNKGB in the Yaroslavl region. [1] Subsequently worked as Minister of the MGB of the Armenian SSR . In 1947, because of squabbles and non-partisan behavior, he was removed from this post and was appointed to the post of head of the UMGB in the Ulyanovsk Region . In 1951, for illegal arrests of citizens, the use of illegal methods of investigation, for the prosecution and unjustified dismissal of honest communists in the Ulyanovsk region from this position, he was removed and dismissed from the MGB. Returning to the Armenian SSR in 1951-1953. He worked as head of the personnel department of the Ministry of Food Industry of the Republic. On charges of repeated violations of socialist legality on September 25, 1953, he was arrested. On November 3, 1955 his appeal for pardon was rejected by the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet . According to the verdict of the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR, on November 15, 1955, he was shot. [2]

In 1937 he led the investigation in the case of I. D. Orahelashvili . L. Ya. Lurie characterizes Krimyan as a complete sadist [3] .
