Notes
- ↑ Brother of the accused N. M. Rukhadze - I. M. Rukhadze, in his explanation of November 5, 1937 to the NKVD of Georgia wrote:
“... Nikolay Rukhadze in the editorial office of the newspaper Musha noticed portraits that we were preparing for the twentieth anniversary of the October Revolution. Incidentally, he said that portraits of Comrade should not be taken out. S. Ordzhonikidze ... "
During the investigation, N. M. Rukhadze confirmed the fact of this conversation with his brother and admitted that he had already known in 1937 that some people arrested in the NKVD of Georgia extorted slanderous testimonies against G. K. Ordzhonikidze.
In 1938, Rukhadze also took a direct part in the reprisal inflicted by Beria on the relatives of G.K. Ordzhonikidze. The G.K. Ordzhonikidze’s brother, I.K. Ordzhonikidze, and the latter’s wife, A.M. Ordzhonikidze, were arrested by the Road Transport Department of the Transcaucasian Railway, which was headed by Rukhadze during this period, who were then illegally convicted of materials falsified under the leadership of Rukhadze .
