TVN-5 night vision device
Designed to provide the driving facilities of armored vehicles ( T-62 , T-64 , T-72 , T-80 , T-80UD , T-84 , T-90 , T-90S , BTR-3 , BTR-4 , BMP- 1 , BMP-2 , BMP-3 , etc.) at night, both in natural light conditions up to 5 × 10 -3 lux (in passive mode), and when illuminated by a headlamp closed by an infrared filter (in active mode), in conditions natural illumination below 5 × 10 -3 lux .
Headlight illumination is also used under adverse observation conditions for the road (low transparency of the atmosphere, low-contrast relief).

TVN-5M night vision device
Modification of the TVN-5 device. The TVN-5M device has an electron-optical converter ( EOC ) of the 2 ++ generation.
TVN-5 and TVN-5M devices are interchangeable in mounting design and installation dimensions with TVNE-4PA and TVNE-4B devices.
