It ends with Bakanaly Mountain (879 m), located significantly west of the Shymkent- Tashkent highway. Between the two main peaks of the ridge lies a vast saddle through which in ancient times a caravan road ran.

Kazygurt is composed of limestones, that is, it is the bottom of the ancient ocean. Karsts are also common here , which means an abundance of springs and the possibility of the formation of caves. Features of the local nature are determined by its position in the boundary strip of the temperate and subtropical zones. To an altitude of 700-800 m above sea level, the "ephemeral-wormwood semi-desert rises, above 1200-1400 m dominate low-mountain coarse-grained ephemeroid subtropical steppes with dark gray soils. Deciduous fruit forests are found in some areas in this zone. Higher, up to 2500-2700 m, there are mid-mountain meadow shrub steppes on mountain brown soils with areas of forest-steppes and deciduous forests (apple-hawthorn, walnut, maple, pistachio woodlands) ” .

Legends

On the ridge are also places that are holy to Muslims. Pilgrims gather there every year. From the south, at the foot of the main peak, is the holy place of Akbur (White Camel). Mostly women who cannot give birth pilgrim there. At this place in 1991 a mausoleum was built. The saint, in whose honor the place is named, lived during the time of Ahmed Yassawi and was a Sufi . He had a white camel. When the saint prayed, he introduced into the trance not only himself, but also the camel.

Also, one of the attractions of Kazygurt is a cross made of stones, 32 m long, 4 m wide, located in a double stone circle. It is believed that this cross was used in antiquity by Zoroastrians to perform rituals.
