Biography

Alexey Krivoruchenko was born on March 15, 1918 in the village of Ivanovka (now the Krasnodonsky district of the Lugansk region of Ukraine ). He graduated from the railway technical school. In 1938, Krivoruchenko was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He graduated from Voroshilovgrad military aviation school pilots. Since 1941 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War [1] .

By February 1945, Major Alexei Krivoruchenko commanded a squadron of the 72nd separate reconnaissance air regiment of the 16th Air Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . By that time, he had made 154 sorties for aerial reconnaissance of important objects, clusters of military equipment and enemy manpower [1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Major Alexei Krivoruchenko was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .

After the war, Krivoruchenko continued his service in the Soviet Army. In 1959, in the rank of colonel, he was dismissed. He lived in the city of Lobnya of the Moscow Region , worked in the Civil Air Fleet system. He died on December 8, 1982 . Buried in Lugansk [1] .

He was also awarded four orders of the Red Banner , orders of Alexander Nevsky , World War 1 degree and the Red Star , a number of medals [1] .
