Career
For a long time, being in the system of the Basque team Euskaltel-Euskadi Aramendia played the role of a gregari , helping his teammates and had practically no success.
After moving to the continental Caja Rural in 2012, Aramendia received more personal freedom and brightly spent Vuelta , four times becoming the most aggressive stage racer (at the same time, at one stage he spent more than 150 kilometers in solo separation). But according to the results of the race, the red number of the most aggressive driver received the triumph of the overall classification - Alberto Contador .
A year later, at the next Vuelta, the Basque continued to participate in hopeless protracted breaks, which brought him three prizes to the most aggressive rider and the final title of the most aggressive rider of the multi-day race.
