Biography

Alexander Amosha was born on August 4, 1937 in Gorlovka , Donetsk region , Ukrainian SSR [1] [2] [4] [6] [7] .

In 1960 he graduated from the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute [1] [2] [3] [4] [6] [7] . During his studies, he simultaneously worked in coal mines [3] [4] [5] [7] .

In 1960-1963 he worked at the Institute of Mining of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine named after M. M. Fedorov [1] [3] [6] [7] .

In 1963, the institute where Amosha worked was transformed into a Donetsk coal research institute in Donetsk and the scientist continued to work in it until 1970 [1] [2] [3] [4] [7] . In 1963-1966 he studied at the graduate school of this institute [4] [7] . In 1966 he defended his thesis there [2] [4] [5] [7] .

Since 1970 he has been working at the Institute of Industrial Economics of the NAS of Ukraine [1] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] :

  • Since 1976 - Head of the Department of Economic Problems of Labor Protection.
  • Since 1986 - Deputy Director.
  • Since 1995 - Director of the Institute (elected by the Institute) [5] .

At the same time, during 1972-1976, he was the scientific secretary of the Donetsk Scientific Center of the NAS of Ukraine [4] [7] .

Since 1975, Amosha has been the organizer and head of the scientific department of economical problems of labor protection at the IEP NAS of Ukraine [3] .

In 1985, Alexander Ivanovich defended his doctoral dissertation [2] [4] .

Since 1997 - a corresponding member, and since 2003 - an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine [2] [3] .

Since April 3, 1997 - Head of the Department of Management and Commercial Law of Donetsk National Technical University [5] .

Since 2007, he is the director of the joint Educational and Scientific Institute of Industrial Development Economics of the National Mining University of MES of Ukraine and the Institute of Industrial Economics of the NAS of Ukraine [5] .

Scientific activity

The scientific works of Alexander Amosh are devoted to socio-economic problems of improving working conditions and increasing the efficiency of industrial production (state, industry, regional) [1] [2] [3] [4] [7] .

Alexander Amosha is the author of more than 600 scientific works, including dozens of personal and collective monographs [2] [3] [4] [7] .

Amosha is the editor-in-chief of the scientific and practical journal of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine “Industrial Economics”, a member of many editorial boards of authoritative economic publications [2] [3] [5] [7] .

Awards and Prizes

Alexander Ivanovich Amosha - laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine (2003) for the series of works “Development and implementation of technical, technological, organizational and economic decisions with an active investment policy that ensures the highest productivity of coal production”, Excellent student of Ukraine, A. Schlichter Prize (1987), M.I. Tugan-Baranovsky (2002) and M.V. Ptukha (2007); repeatedly awarded with honorary diplomas of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, ministries and departments, regional and local authorities [1] [2] [3] [5] [6] [7] .

In 2009 he was awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree [3] .
