Anthony Paul Pettis ( born Anthony Paul Pettis ; born January 27, 1987 , Milwaukee , Wisconsin , USA ) is an American mixed martial artist who performs under the auspices of the UFC in the lightweight category. Former UFC lightweight champion. He is the last WEC lightweight champion.

According to an authoritative ufc.com rating, Pettis was second in lightweight [2] in 2015 and eighth in the list of best fighters, regardless of weight [3] , but now he is not in the top ten. Career

Anthony's MMA debut took place in December 2007. He remained undefeated with a record of 8-0 in all fights held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before debuting at WEC.

Pettis is coached by the famous MMA coach Jeff β€œDuke” Rufus, a member and head of the Rufusport organization, coaching fighters such as Alan Belcher, Eric Koch, Ben Rothwell , Ben Askren and Danny Downes.
