Final

In the tournament finals, the French team defeated the Lithuanian team with a score of 80:66 and for the first time in their history won the Eurobasket gold medals.

For most of the first half there was an equal fight - the leader changed seven times, another three times on the scoreboard an equal score was recorded. However, before the end of the second 10-minute, the French, by the efforts of Nicolas Batum, organized a jerk 14: 0 and went on a long break, winning β€œ+16”. In the third quarter, the game did not change; Vincent Colle's wards confidently controlled the match. All that the squad of Jonas Kazlauskas was able to do was to close the gap to -14. For the first three quarters, the Baltic did not have a single selection on someone else's shield, while the opponent managed to pick up eight, half of which fell to Alexis Ajinsa. In the last game segment, Kazlauskas tried to change the course of the match by frequent permutations in the team, but France did not allow the opponent to come close and convincingly brought the match to victory, having issued the championship. In the β€œtricolor”, the most productive were Nicolas Batum (17 points), Boris Diao (15) and Tony Parker (12). The Lithuanians were the leaders in points scored Linas Klejza (20), Mantas Kalnietis (19) and Renaldas Seybutis (10) [1] .
