Arango, Alfredo

Alfredo Arango Narvaez (February 16, 1945 - December 20, 2005) [1] - Colombian football player. He played for the Colombian national team at the 1968 Summer Olympics. [2]

Career

Apango was born in Santa Marta and played his entire career in Colombia . The midfielder spent most of his playing career with Union Magdalena . He won the championship title with Union in 1968 and is the top scorer in club history with 104 goals [3] . He also won the league title with Millionarios (1972) and Atletico Junior (1977) [4] [5] .

Arango represented Colombia at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City [6] .

Death

On December 20, 2005, Arango died in his hometown of Santa Marta [7] .
