Hanhatui is a village in the Kuitun district of the Irkutsk region of Russia. It is part of the Kharik municipality .

It is located about 196 km west of the district center.

Toponymy

The name Hanhatui probably comes from the Buryat hanh - direct ^[2] .

History

It was founded in 1850. In 1926 it consisted of 47 households, the main population - Russians. As part of the Bolshe-Kashelak village council of the Kimiltey district of the Tulun district of the Siberian region ^[3] .
