Oktyabrsky ( Tajik. October ) is an urban-type settlement in the Shakhrinavsky district of Tajikistan . The Cheptura railway station is located in the village (on the Kumkurgan - Dushanbe line )

In 2013, it was said that the village of Oktyabrsky was renamed to the town of Mirzo Tursunzade , but as of January 1, 2015, the statistical service under the President of Tajikistan mentions the village as Oktyabrsky [1] .
The status of an urban-type settlement since 1939. According to TSB, a cannery, a poultry farm and a cotton harvesting station operated in Oktyabrsky [2] .
