György Piller-Jekelfaloushi was born in 1899 in Eger ). He chose a military career, in 1918 he graduated from the Military Academy "Louis" , while studying in which he took up fencing.

In 1928, György Piller-Jekelfaloushi won the gold and silver medals of the Hungarian Championship. In 1928, he participated in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , where he participated in swords and rapiers fencing competitions, but did not win medals. In 1929, he became the champion of Hungary and won the bronze medal of the European Championship. In 1930, he won gold and silver medals of the Hungarian Championship and two gold medals of the European Championship, in 1931 - three gold medals of the Hungarian Championship, as well as two gold and one silver medals of the European Championship. In the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, György Piller-Jekelfaloushi won two gold medals, and this year he won two gold medals in the Hungarian Championship. In 1933 and 1934 he won the gold medal of the European Championship and the Hungarian Championship. In 1937, European championships were retroactively announced world championships.

In 1956, György Piller-Jekelfaloushi was already present at the Olympic Games in Melbourne as a coach of the Hungarian team. Upon learning of the Soviet forces suppressing the uprising in Hungary , he decided not to return to his homeland and emigrated to the United States , where he changed his name to the American manner and became known as George Piller
