Endre Kabosh ( Hungarian. Kabos Endre ; November 5, 1906 - November 4, 1944 ) - Hungarian fencer of Jewish origin, Olympic champion.

Endre Kabosh was born in 1906 in Nagyvarada (today - Oradea in Romania ).
In 1930, Andre Kabos won the gold medal of the Hungarian Championship. In 1931, he won the gold and silver medals of the European Championship. At the Los Angeles Olympics in 1932, Endre Kabosh won gold and bronze medals. In 1933, he won two gold medals in the European Championship and a silver medal in the Hungarian Championship. In 1934, he won two gold medals of the European championship, in 1935 - another one (in 1937, these European championships were retroactively recognized as world championships). In the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Endre Kabosh won two gold medals. In 1937, 1938 and 1939 he again became the champion of Hungary (and in 1938 he also won a bronze medal).
In 1944, Endre Kabosch, together with many other Jews, was mobilized to a labor camp. He died during an accidental explosion of a bridge mined by German sappers.
In 1986, Endre Kabosh was introduced to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame .
Endre Kabosh became the prototype of one of the characters in the 1999 film “ Taste of Sunlight ”.
