Scientific career
- 1955 - graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Odessa State University (now Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University ). After completing her studies at OSU, she worked at Baghdad, Chisinau universities, in Poland, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
- Since September 1972, she began working at the Kirovograd Pedagogical Institute , where she headed the department of general linguistics (1981-1987) and taught courses in general linguistics, phonetics, and lexicology of the Russian language.
- In 1970 she defended her doctoral dissertation, in 1981 she defended her doctoral dissertation.
- September 20, 1982 she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philology.
- In 1984, Sokolovskaya was awarded the title of professor in the department of general linguistics.
- For a long time, J.P. Sokolovskaya worked at the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute, where in 1988 she was appointed to the post of head of the Russian language department, and in 1995 to the post of head of the Slavic languages department.
- After 1996, she worked in Yalta (Yalta University of Management), Simferopol (Taurida National University named after V.I. Vernadsky, Taurida Ecological University).
