Description
Small hymenopteran insects: body length 4.5 mm. The body is mostly black. Scapus and legs are yellow. Metascutellum subrectangular. Antennae 12-segmented (there is a mace). The mandibular palps consist of 4 segments, and the labial palps are 2-segmented. They are distinguished by a submarginal vein distant from the margin of the anterior wing and a very short marginal vein (there is a characteristic frontal depression on the head). The species was first described in 1916 by the French entomologist Jean-Jacques Kieffer (1857-1926) under the name Trichanteris acutiventris Kiefer, 1916 [1] [2] .
