Fragments of a biography
Born on August 18 ( August 31 ), 1910 in Moscow. Father Tesner Alexander Andreevich, was an engineer and was engaged in the production of writing paper.
- Pavel wanted to study electrical engineering and tried to enter the MVTU named after N. E. Bauman . In the first exams, Tesner was given a “bad luck” in one of the subjects. Having worked as an electrician for a year, Pavel tried to enter Baumanka for the second time. All disciplines were passed on five, he was not accepted. After appealing, Tesner was enrolled in the Moscow Art Theater named after D. I. Mendeleev without exams, where he mastered the specialty “technology of pyrogenic processes”. After graduating from the institute (1935) he worked as an assistant in the department of his institute, in 1941 - graduate school of the same institute, in 1951 - doctoral studies at IFKHAN . In 1941-1942 he taught at the courses of military technicians of NGOs. In 1942, he became the head of the chemical department of the MPVO of the Krasnopresnensky district of Moscow. In 1943, Tesner was recalled from the army and appointed to the post of chief of the chemical department of the headquarters of the air defense of the Krasnopresnensky district of Moscow. And a year later, he headed the laboratory of transport and processing of natural gas at the All-Union Institute of Gas and Artificial Liquid Fuel.
VNIIGAZ
- In 1943 - 1948 he led the laboratory of artificial liquid fuel. [one]
- In 1948 - 1956 he was the head of the laboratory, since 1956 - the deputy director, since 1965 - the director, since 1968 - the head of the laboratory, the main research associate of VNIIGaz.
Major Scientific Achievements
- Pavel Tesner carried out fundamental research on the theory of the processes of formation of pyrocarbon and dispersed carbon.
- Tesner created a technology for the industrial production of furnace carbon black from natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Five first plants were operating on this technology with a capacity of up to 7,000 tons of soot per year each: in Baku, Stakhanov, Tuymazy and Sosnogorsk - on natural gas, and in Omsk - on liquid raw materials. A new method of production of furnace soot increased the yield of the final product 4-5 times - from 20-24 to 80-100 g / cu. m
