Biography
He began his career in the coal industry of the Polar Region in 1958 at the Khalmer-U mine of the Vorkutaugol combine, where in 17 years it grew from a mining foreman to director of a mine. Under his leadership at the mine, the highest in the Ministry of Coal Industry labor productivity in steeply dipping seams was achieved - 52 tons / month. The Order “Badge of Honor” and the Labor Red Banner adorned the chest of the director of the mine. In September 1974, Vasily Grigorievich became the head of the headquarters of the largest start-up building - the Vorgashorskaya mine , and after commissioning - the director. Under his leadership, in December 1979, the team ahead of schedule, for 4 years, mastered the design capacity - 4.5 million tons of coal per year.
Already in 1980, all 7 mining sites worked in an annual mode of 500 or more thousand tons. 03/03/1980 for outstanding achievements in labor, a great personal contribution to the early development of mine design indicators and the fulfillment of socialist obligations of super-planned coal mining, he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.
