The Beast is the second studio album of the Russian heavy metal band The Shadow Theater , which was released on the CD-Maximum label in 2006 [2] .

About the album
This album has fewer classic hard-and-heavy elements than the previous one. Musicians preferred to experiment, weaving complex rhythmic patterns, elements of progressive , classical motifs into their music. Vocals have become much more diverse - chic two-voices, forced vocals, even screaming . In terms of composition, the musicians took a big step forward. Much more interesting moves, catchy tunes. Also immediately noticeable are virtuoso parts, high skill, excellent performance [3] .
There are eleven songs on the disk , two of which are instrumental . A video clip was shot for the song βWhite Wolfβ. The text of the composition "Moby Dick" was written based on the work of the same name by American writer Herman Melville .
