Club career

Windischmann was born in Germany , but still a baby moved to the United States . At the age of 6, he began to play football. After entering university, Mike began to play for his football team and in 1986 was introduced to the hall of fame of the institution.

After graduation, Windishman decided to play showball professionally. For four years, he played for Brooklyn Italians , Los Angeles Lazers and Albany Capitals . In 1989, Mike was recognized as the US Footballer of the Year . Also from 1986 to 1992, he played for the US national futsal team , in which he became the bronze ( in 1989 ) and silver ( in 1992 ) medalist of the world championships.

International Career

In 1984, Windischmann made his US debut. In 1988, as part of a national team, he took part in the Seoul Olympics. At the tournament, Mike took part in just one match against Argentina , but it was his goal that helped the Americans achieve a draw in this match.

In 1990, Windischmann was captain of the US national team at the World Championships in Italy . At the tournament, he took part in all three matches against the national teams of Austria [1] , Italy [2] and Czechoslovakia [3] . After the world championship, Mike ended his career and at that time was the champion in the number of matches held for the national team.
