Susantika Jayasingh is a Sri Lankan track and field athlete who specialized in 200 meters. One of two Olympic medalists from Sri Lanka in history.

Performances in the international arena began in 1994. Her first major competition was the 1995 Asian Championships, where she became the silver medalist in the 100-meter race. Then she took part in the 1995 World Cup, where she also ran 100 meters, but dropped out at the quarter-finals. The biggest success in her career was in 2000. In the final 200 meter race, she finished in 3rd place with a national record of 22.28, which still remains unsurpassed. However, after the winner of the race, Marion Jones , was disqualified for doping, Jayasingh moved to second place and the gold medal was transferred to Paulina Davis from the Bahamas. Also at the Olympics in Sydney, she participated in the 100 meter race, where she was able to reach the semifinals.
At the 2008 Olympics, she dropped out at the semifinal stage. After the Olympic Games, she completed her sports career. May 31, 2009 gave birth to a son.
She was the team’s standard bearer at the opening ceremonies of the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
