Kramchaninov, Ivan Petrovich

Ivan Kramchaninov was born on March 3, 1922 in Belgorod . He graduated from high school. In January 1941, Kramchaninov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1943 he graduated from the Omsk Infantry School . Since March of the same year - on the fronts of World War II. Participated in the Battle of Kursk , was wounded. Returning from the hospital, he participated in the liberation of the Byelorussian SSR and Poland , and was again wounded. By January 1945, Senior Lieutenant Ivan Kramchaninov commanded a rifle company of the 8th motorized rifle brigade of the 9th Panzer Corps of the 33rd Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . Distinguished himself during the Vistula-Oder operation ^[1] .

Rota Kramchaninova was the first to cross the Warta River and, breaking into German trenches, destroyed about 200 enemy soldiers and officers. During the battle for the city, Kalish Kramchaninov raised his company to the attack and was the first to break into the city. On January 29, 1945, the company crossed the Oder and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore ^[1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for “exemplary performance of command missions on the front against German fascism and courage and heroism shown at the same time”, senior lieutenant Ivan Kramchaninov was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal Star ” under number 7409 ^[1] .

In June 1946, with the rank of Major Kramchaninov, he was transferred to the reserve. He returned to Belgorod. After graduating from the Higher School of the Trade Union Movement, he worked as chairman of the regional committee of the union of workers in the automotive industry and highways. He died on January 18, 1990, was buried in the Yaneshano cemetery in Belgorod ^[1] .

He was also awarded two orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, orders of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and the Red Star , a number of medals ^[1] .

In honor of Kramchaninov, a school was named and a bust was installed in Belgorod ^[1] .
