Biography
He graduated from a seven-year school, worked as a plasterer, a typesetter in a printing house.
In 1936 he was drafted into the Red Army , served in the Petrozavodsk garrison, a participant in the Soviet-Finnish war (1939-1940) .
After demobilization, he worked at a publishing house in Petrozavodsk.
At the beginning of World War II he was again drafted into the army, he served in the 536th Infantry Regiment of the 114th Infantry Division of the 7th Army . In 1942 he was admitted to the membership of the CPSU (b) .
In June-July 1944, during the Svir-Petrozavodsk operation , as part of the 7th Rifle Company, repeatedly, under strong artillery-mortar and machine-gun fire of the enemy, he personally carried away fighters into attacks on enemy trenches by personal example and ensured the holding of the company’s bridgehead.
For courage and heroism shown in battles, for exemplary performance of combat missions of command, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 21, 1944, Sergeant F. Krylov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 4414) )
After the war he lived in Kasimov , worked as head of the printing house.
Died and buried in Kasimov.
