Sports Biography

At the Winter Olympics, Dzarukka first performed in 1992 at the Albertville Games . In personal competitions, after ski jumping, he took 20th place, but after the ski race, the Swiss dropped to 29th position. In team competitions, the Swiss team took 10th place. On December 19, 1992, Marco Dzarukki made his World Cup debut at the stage in his native St. Moritz . In December 1995, Dzarukki was first able to get on the podium at the World Cup, becoming the third at the stage in the American Steamboat Springs . In January 1998, Marco achieved the highest result in the World Cup, winning silver in a sprint in Ramsau, Austria.

The next time, at the Winter Olympics, Dzarukka performed in 1998 in Nagano . In the individual championship, Marco failed the jump part, taking only 43rd place, as a result of which the gap from the leader was more than 5 minutes. Nevertheless, the ski race was very successful for Dzarukka. The Swiss biathlete showed the best time in the race and was able to climb to the final 25th place.
