History

It is first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500, as the village of Zhyhorevo on Lavua in the Egorievsky Lopsky Pogost [2] .

On the Swedish "General Map of the Province of Ingermanlandia" of 1704 , compiled from materials from 1678, the village of Javarova is indicated [3] .

As the village of Sakarova, it is plotted on the “Geographical Drawing of Izhora Land” by Adrian Shonbek in 1705 [4] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, it is indicated as the village of Zhikharevo [5] .

ZHIKHAREVA - the village belongs to Princess Meshcherskaya, the number of inhabitants according to the audit: 53 m. p. [6] (1838)

According to the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852, the village was called Zhikharevo [7] .

ZHIKHAREVA - the village of Madame Safonova, along the postal tract and country road, the number of yards - 18, the number of souls - 66 m. [8] (1856)

The number of inhabitants of the village according to the Xth revision of 1857: 65 m. paragraph [9] .

ZHIKHAREVO - the owner's village at the wells, the number of yards - 21, the number of inhabitants: 62 m., 73 railways. p. [10] (1862)

According to the home census of 1882, 31 families lived in the village, the number of inhabitants: 60 m., 84. P.; the category of peasants - owners of the land [9] .

According to 1889, 5033 tithes of land at the village of Zhikharevo with the Valya wasteland belonged to merchant A. A. Kononova. The purchase of land occurred before 1868 [11] .

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Putilov volost of the 1st camp of the Shlisselburg district of the St. Petersburg province [12] .

From 1917 to 1921, the village of Zhikharevo was part of the Staromelninsky village council of the Lukinsky volost of the Shlisselburg district.

Since 1921, as part of the Sassar Village Council. According to the military topographic map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1921 edition, the river on which the village of Zhikharevo was located was called Kavra [13] .

Since 1922, as part of the Putilov volost.

Since 1923, as part of the Leningrad district .

Since February 1927, as part of the Mginsky volost, since August 1927, as part of the Mginsky district [14] .

According to 1933, the village of Zhikharevo was part of the Sassar village council of the Mginsky district [15] .

Since January 1942, in the village there were the Office of the Military Highway No. 101, an evacuation center and a distribution hospital [16] .

Since 1954, as part of the Vasilievsky Village Council.

In 1958, the population of the village of Zhikharevo was 545 people.

Since 1959, as part of the Naziev Council.

Since 1960, as part of the Volkhov district .

Since 1963, the Nazievsky Council is subordinate to the Volkhov City Council [14] .

According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village of Zhikharevo was also subordinate to the Nazievsky council of the Volkhov district [17] [18] .

According to 1990, the village of Zhikharevo was part of the Nazievsky Council of the Kirov District [19] [20] .

In 1997, 22 people lived in the village of Zhikharevo, Nazievsky Council, in 2002 - 24 people (all Russians) [21] [22] .

In 2007, in the village of Zhikharevo of the Nazievsky GP - 20 [23] .

Geography

The village is located in the northeastern part of the district on the highway 41K-542 ( Nazia - Workers' villages No. 1 and No. 2), south of the center of the settlement of the village of Nazia .

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 5 km [23] .

To the north of the village is the railway line Mga - Volkhovstroy I. The nearest railway station is Zhikharevo .

The Carpet River flows through the village.
