(2759) Idomeneo ( Greek: Ἰδομενεύς ) is a typical Trojan asteroid of Jupiter moving at the Lagrange point L 4 , 60 ° ahead of the planet. The asteroid was discovered on April 14, 1980 by the American astronomer Edward Bowell at the Anderson-Mes Observatory and is named after the Cretan king Idomeneo [1] .
