History
In 1774, a cemetery was created in Copley, on the outskirts of Tallinn, on which Lutherans began to be buried. The cemetery lasted until 1945 , after which it was turned into a base of units of the Red Army [2] . In the early 50s, the cemetery was finally destroyed. Currently, a public park is located in the former cemetery.
In 1919, the Estonian Maritime Academy was founded in Copley. In 1991, the Academy created three departments: marine science, marine engineering and navigation. Currently, about 900 students are studying at the academy and about 100 teachers work. The office of the BLRT Grupp concern is located in one of the buildings of the former .
