The international patriotic Internet project “Black Tulip Afghan Warriors Memorial” was created in February 2012 to perpetuate the memory of soldiers who died in Afghanistan and died after the war. Currently, the project is supported by a team of 3 people who manage to post on the portal pages up to 5-10 biographies of internationalist warriors per week. The editors of the site are actively working with veteran organizations, as well as with caring people in different regions of Russia and the CIS countries .

The memorial pages of the Afghan warriors, which are posted on the site, consist of a portrait, awards, biographies and photographs of the warrior’s grave. Also, the memorial page may contain additional photos related to the Afghan warrior. In case a memorial, monument, plaque or memorial sign dedicated to the Afghan warrior is placed on the site, an active link to the memorial page is displayed on the memorial page, and a biography link on the memorial page. The first biography was posted on February 15, 2012 .
