Biography
Nikita Sverchkov was born on January 27, 1891 in the family of the Lavrentievs, peasants of the village of Yanshikovo-Norvashi of the Civil District of Kazan Province [1] .
He received his primary art education at the Kazan Art School . Then he continued his studies at the Higher Art School at the Academy of Arts in Petrograd.
Famous works
“Worship of Kiremety”, “Forced baptism of the Chuvash”, “Pushkin in the Chuvash village”, “Gorky on the Volga”, “Crossing of Pugachev across the Volga”, “Declaration of the autonomy of Chuvashia” (1935), “Commissar Krepkov”, “The first tractor in Chuvashia ”,“ Forcing the Dnieper ”,“ Birdhouse ”.
