Biography
In 1919 he graduated from high school in Smolensk . Member of the civil war in Russia .
In 1923 he graduated from the Military District School of the Western District .
In 1927 he graduated from the Institute of Screen Art in Leningrad , after which he came to the cinema as an actor, starred with Alexander Dovzhenko in the film “ Arsenal ” as a nationalist .
Soon he became interested in screenplay, but worked mainly with co-authors.
During the Great Patriotic War, he became head of the script department of the Central United Film Studio of Feature Films (CSCS), which included evacuated film studios.
After the war he worked in the Goskino system. In 1945-1947 - the editor at the Leningrad studio chronicles. In 1948-1949 he headed the scenario department of the Tashkent studio .
Subsequently - the author and director of the film " On the Other Side " and other films.
Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR .
