A&M University of Texas ( A&M or TAMU ) is a higher education institution located in the city of College Station in Texas , USA . The university is the flagship university university , the seventh largest university in the USA in size, and also the largest in Texas [8] [9] . The University is engaged in a wide range of studies in the field of land use, oceanology and astronautics. Many projects are funded by organizations such as NASA , the US National Institutes of Health , the National Science Foundation and Research . The university is one of the 20 US universities that receive the most funding, and has made a significant contribution to areas such as animal and plant cloning and the oil field.
