History
In January 1919, Prince Lieven began the formation of the Libava Volunteer Rifle Detachment, which by May, together with the Baltic Landsver , drove the Bolsheviks from Riga . After that, the detachment went to join the North-West Army . After arrival, the detachment was reorganized into a division. On October 20, 1919, the division reached the outskirts of Ligov . Thus, the division was closest to Petrograd . However, the Reds soon launched a counterattack and the White Guards were defeated. Already in exile, Prince Lieven created the Union of Lebanese. Also, a memorial sign was developed for the union, which was worn in the buttonhole of a civilian costume.
Description
The award is a white gold cross, with two swords lying crosswise. In the middle of the cross is a small coat of arms of national colors of Russia , which is crowned with a crown . The golden letter “L” is engraved on the cross itself, and below it is the small date “1919” .
