Biography

He graduated from Kharkov State University with a degree in political economy , and then graduate school.

In 1986-1996 he taught at the university political economics and political science. Then he was the first deputy director of the Kharkov branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (1996-2002).

Since 2003 - Director of the Institute for Global Strategies.

Since 1992, has been engaged in political consulting. As a political strategist, he participated in the election campaigns of 1994-2010. In the 1999 presidential election, he was the head of the creative and analytical group of the election headquarters of Leonid Kuchma . In addition, he was an adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister (1999 and 2001-2002) and a freelance adviser to the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (2006-2010).

In the 2006 parliamentary elections, he was a candidate for people's deputies: he went under the second number of the Veche party’s electoral list, but the party was not able to overcome the three percent barrier. In July 2010, he joined the Unified Center party, and the next month became one of its leaders. In the 2012 elections, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada in the single-mandate constituency No. 217 in Kiev , but lost to Alexander Brigints .

Since 2014, a regular participant in political television talk shows on Ukrainian and Russian federal television channels.
