In 1998, Anton Belyaev entered the Khabarovsk State Institute of Arts and Culture in the department of pop and jazz. During his studies, he worked in various clubs in Khabarovsk as a musician and art director. In 2004, becoming the art director of the Rus club, he invited musicians Dmitry Pavlov (guitar), Maxim Bondarenko (bass), Konstantin Drobitko (trumpet), Evgeny Kozhin (drums) to play in the club. The presence of a technical base in the club allowed Anton Belyaev to start creating music, which formed the basis for the work of Therr Maitz. Of the samples recorded in Magadan until 1998, the track The Flow, as well as Paris Line, was made. Inspired by the purchase of the Rhodes Piano Mark II , Anton Belyaev recorded the track The Ocean, the main part of which was performed by Konstantin Drobitko (trumpet).

In 2005, Anton Belyaev signed a contract with a Japanese company for a series of club performances in Tokyo and Kyoto and went to work with musicians in Japan. In December 2005, promoter Sinisa Lazarevich opened Out hall club in Vladivostok, at the opening of which Therr Maitz invited. Then Dmitry Pavlov and Maxim Bondarenko moved to Moscow. Konstantin Drobitko left the group due to the fact that he had left for Korea under a work contract. Evgeny Kozhin decided to stay in Khabarovsk. Anton Belyaev remained under work contracts in Vladivostok (BSB club, Out hall), and in 2006 he moved to Moscow.

October 22, 2010 a concert was held in the club Squat. After that, Dmitry Pavlov ( Megapolis , Pole) and Maxim Bondarenko left the group. In this regard, Anton Belyaev began to look for new musicians.

Boris Ionov (drums) (Zventa Sventana, Guru Groove Foundation, Noggano , Basta , Vladimir Presnyakov , Polina Gagarina ) replaced Oleg Inzhzhova in the spring of 2011.

On Friday, May 13, 2011, the first concert in the new line-up took place in the Cargo Bar on Red October. Sound engineer Ilya Lukashev was invited to this concert. Victoria Beetle (Los Devchatos) was invited to the backing vocals. Thus formed the main active composition of Therr Maitz.
