Biography
March 19, 1962 was ordained a priest .
On March 29, 1985, Pope John Paul II appointed Joseph Atsumi Misue as bishop of Hiroshima. On June 16, 1985, he was ordained bishop by Osaka Archbishop Pavel Hisao Yasuda , accompanied by Apostolic Pronunciation in Japan, Archbishop William Aquinas Karow and Cardinal Peter Seichi Shirayanagi .
On June 13, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation due to reaching the age limit for being bishop.
