Biography
In absentia finished GITIS (workshop of Nina Mikhoels ).
The beginning of acting activity is in theaters of the Union republics, in the cities of Dushanbe and Liepaja .
From 1967 to 1973 she was an actress at the Riga Theater of Russian Drama . Then she worked at the Leninsky Komsomol Theater (now the Baltic House) in Leningrad , where she made her debut as a playwright .
The most popular play in the USSR was Alla Sokolova’s third play “ Fantasies of Faryatev ”, which was staged directly at the BDT ( Sergey Jurassic debut as a director), Sovremennik , Central Theater of the Soviet Army , Riga Theater of Russian Drama , Yerevan State Russian Drama Theater named after KS Stanislavsky. In 1979, the play was screened by Ilya Averbakh with Andrei Mironov and Marina Neyolova in the lead roles. From February 1, 2014, the performance of Faryatev Fantasies staged by the director and teacher Vera Kamyshnikova was resumed on the Old Stage of the Moscow Theater Pyotr Fomenko Workshop.
Among other plays by Alla Sokolova are “Who is this Dizzy Gillespie?”, “Half My House”, “Eldorado” (delivered to the Moscow Art Theater by Oleg Efremov ), “People, animals and bananas”, “Ranshe”, “Bes Happiness” (according to Sholom -Aleichem ), "Liberta ... Egalite ..." (about Beranj ).
In 1980 she wrote the screenplay of the film “ My Dad Is an Idealist, ” filmed by Vladimir Bortko .
In 1990, she played the main role in Svetlana Proskurina ’s film “The Accidental Waltz ” (the prize “Black Panther” for the best female role at the international film festival in Marseille ).
