Biography
Alexander Bychkov was born in 1988 [2] . The younger brother Sergey was born two years later. Father, Vladimir Bychkov, worked as a combine operator , and subsequently learned to become a refrigeration equipment repairman. According to the neighbors, the mother, Irina Bychkova, had problems with alcohol [3] , to which, with time, her father became addicted. At the age of 40, presumably due to problems with alcohol, as well as due to turmoil in the family, he committed suicide [4] .
From a young age, according to the townspeople, the mother forced the children to do hard work in the garden and collect scrap metal . If the brothers returned home without money, she would not shun the assaults [3] [4] . In addition, the boys hunted with petty thefts from household plots, they were repeatedly caught stealing, but, as a rule, they felt sorry and released [5] .
In 2007, Alexander graduated from vocational school with a degree in agricultural machinery repairman and entered the Belinsky Pedagogical School, but was soon forced to take academic leave - it took him time to take care of his brother, who, as a result of an attack by unidentified persons, received numerous serious injuries, including cranial , and became disabled [4] .
Kill Series
Bychkov committed his first serious crime on September 17, 2009, by killing 60-year-old Evgeny Zhidkov. The latter arrived in Belinsky in the district archive for documents for applying for a pension . The killer met the victim in the local wineglass , invited the elderly man to spend the night at home, and at night, when he fell asleep, he was killed [4] .
Bychkov, who coined the nickname “ Rambo ” [5] , killed the rest of his victims — men suffering from alcoholism and leading a vagrant lifestyle — according to a similar scenario — he invited him to an uninhabited place, soldered vodka [4] , and killed with blows of a knife or hammer, after which he dismembered the bodies [6] . He buried the remains of bodies behind his own house or threw them into a landfill on Lermontovskaya Street [7] . In order to avert suspicion, the criminal committed murders from May to September, when numerous construction workers from the republics of the former USSR gathered in the city, and law enforcement agencies first worked out versions of involvement in the murders of visitors [8] . Among the victims of Bychkov was the former cohabitant of his mother Vladimir Berezovsky [4] .
Investigation
In September 2010, disassembled bodies of three people were discovered in Belinsky. On charges of part 4 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for causing grievous bodily harm that caused the death of a person, local resident Alexander Zhuplov, a mentally ill group II invalid named Zhuplik, was convicted and sent to compulsory treatment , whose detention caused a considerable share of criticism The Ministry of Internal Affairs , but which was later amnestied in view of the newly discovered circumstances of the criminal case [8] [9] [10] . A criminal case was opened against the investigator of the Belinsky district police department, who brought the innocent to court, but was soon closed due to lack of corpus delicti [11] .
Arrest, trial and sentence
On the night of January 21, 2012, Alexander Bychkov entered the “Everything for Home” store and stole three garden knives and money for a total of about 10,000 rubles . Soon after the theft, he was detained by law enforcement agencies and, in addition to the crime committed, confessed to the murders committed earlier. During a search of the suspect's house, his personal diary was discovered, in which eleven murders were described. Also, during the search, a large number of films containing scenes of violence were discovered [6] . During interrogations, Bychkov admitted that he sometimes cut out internal organs from his victims - the liver , heart , and ate them [4] [5] [6] [7] .
In the diary, Bychkov called himself a “lone wolf,” explaining the killings with a desire to assert himself [5] [12] . Another motive, according to the investigation, was hatred of men who looked like drinking companions of the criminal’s mother, vagabonds and alcoholics [2] [13] . A comprehensive forensic psychiatric examination revealed the presence of a mixed personality disorder in the offender, however, not depriving him of the opportunity to report on his actions. Based on the examination, the killer was declared sane [2] .
On December 28, 2012, the prosecutor of the Penza region approved the indictment against Bychkova under paragraphs. “A, k” part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“murder, that is, intentionally causing death to another person, murder of two or more persons, murder in order to hide another crime)”, part 1 of article 244 of the Criminal Code ("abuse of the body of the deceased"), paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code ("theft with illegal entry into the premises"). The accused refused the jury trial [14] .
The court found nine episodes proven [2] . Alexander Bychkov was found guilty under paragraphs a, k of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the murder of two or more persons, as well as committed to conceal another crime or facilitate its commission, as well as involving rape or sexual assault) and paragraph “b” of part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed with unlawful entry into the premises) [2] . It was not possible to prove the facts of cannibalism [15] [16] .
On March 22, 2013, the Penza Regional Court sentenced him to life imprisonment with a sentence in a special regime colony [2] [6] [15] . The convict and his counsel, disagreeing with the verdict, filed complaints with a higher authority. The Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation , having examined the complaint, upheld the verdict, and the complaint was dismissed [2] . Bychkov A.V. is serving his sentence in PKU IK-5 on the island of Fire in the Vologda Region [1] [17] .
