It is located about 15 kilometers east of Istra , 3 kilometers north of the Snegiri urban-type village, there is the nearest railway station, the height of the village center above sea level is 218 m [4] . Neighboring settlements: Selivanikha 0.8 km to the south-west, Dedovo-Talyzino - 1 km to the north, Turovo 1 km to the east.

History
In the XVII-XVIII centuries, the village of Petrovskoye belonged to the Goretov camp of the Moscow district , at the end of the XVIII century it entered Voskresensky , then Zvenigorod district of the Moscow province .
By the law of the Moscow Region of February 28, 2005 No. 86/2005-OZ, the village was included in the city settlement of Snegiri [7] , before that it was part of the Leninsky rural district .
