Composition and activities

At the moment, RS includes 24 regional branches, with RS there are studios of prose , poetry , science fiction , drama , humor , the literary and intellectual club LIK, the poetry club Voskhod, the club Literary Crossroads, and the club " Chronicle "- for veterans , the club" Autumn "- for the evenings of memorable dates. He organizes days of Slavic writing, Russian culture, Pushkin days, conferences and seminars on the problems of Russian culture in the modern world, on the study of the Russian language and literature in Ukrainian schools, on the peculiarities of Russian-language poetry of Ukraine and its place in modern world culture. Collaborates with the State Committee of Ukraine for Nationalities and Migration, with the Embassy of Russia in Ukraine, with the Slavic Committee and various national communities of Ukraine. Organizes festivals of art song. Conducts an all-Ukrainian competition of Russian poetry of Ukraine, in which published authorial collections of poetry, prose, and newspaper publications participate. The youth department of the "Russian Assembly" "Palette" holds a competition to them. Leonid Kiselev for authors up to 30 years old, participating in the competition are copyrighted unpublished manuscripts. Members of the RS are Ukrainian Russian-speaking writers, poets, artists, artists, composers, bards, artists and cultural figures, creative youth and the intelligentsia of Ukraine.
The All-Ukrainian National Cultural and Educational Society “Russian Assembly” is not related to the “Russian Assembly”, an Orthodox-conservative socio-political organization (party) .

History

The organizer and first president of RS since 1991 to the present is Potapova, Alla Vyacheslavovna [1] .
In December 1991 , on her initiative, many representatives of the Russian-speaking creative intelligentsia of Kiev united in the national cultural and educational society “Russian Assembly”. The purpose of society was: the revival of morality, spirituality, intelligence, preservation of the literary environment and, most importantly, Russian culture.
In February 1992 , the “Russian Assembly” was officially registered in Kiev as a public organization .
In 1992 , the Literary and Intellectual Club LIK was created at RS, where poets, prose writers, artists, artists, composers, bards, people of different ages and professions, students and veterans came. LIK's meetings were held at the Ukrainian House in a small, always crowded room on the second floor. The first president of Ukraine Leonid Makarovich Kravchuk [2] , who had the intention to place national societies in the former museum of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, helped in this and even jokingly called the Ukrainian House “League of Nations”.
In May 1993, on the initiative of RS, together with the Slavic Fund of Ukraine, the Union of Poles in Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Czech cultural and educational society Vysehrad, with the support of President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk , Days of Slavic Writing were established in Ukraine and a Republican Committee was established Days of Slavic writing and culture.
In 1994 , on the 200th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin [3] with the support of the Minister of Ukraine Valery Pustovoitenko “RS” created a public Council for the celebration of the anniversary, achieved the creation of the Jubilee Committee at the state level and the celebration of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater . With the support of the Ministry of Information of Ukraine, a book was published on the anniversary of the great poet, “The People's Path Will Not Overgrow ...” (Pushkin Album), prepared by the “Russian Assembly” and recognized as a socially significant publication.
In 1994 , RS opened the Sunday Sun School, where 250 children studied in three groups: from the first grade to the fourth - Az, from the fifth to eighth - Buki, from the ninth to eleventh - Vedi. On the first of September, two hundred and fifty servings of ice cream were bought. They taught poetry, music, rules of conduct and housekeeping. For boys there was a course “I have honor”, ​​for girls - “Maiden's room”. General courses - the history of human development, the basics of business, culture and society. The school operated for four years.
In 1994 , RS published a collection of Kiev poets, writers and lovers of Russian literature, “What are we?” Let's try to understand. ”
In 1995 , with the support of Dmitry Tabachnik, “RS” published a book dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Russian people in World War II.
In 1998 , RS registered its New Literary Newspaper, which is still published, but with long interruptions due to financial difficulties.
In 1998 , RS published a collection of authors from Kiev , Kharkov , Zaporozhye , Berdyansk , Druzhkovka , Kotovsk , Cherkassy , Chernigov , Chicago "... And our word will be answered."
In 2003 , RS published a collection of poems, short stories and articles on Russian literature, “XX Century, Remember Us Like That ...”, which includes materials from authors from very many cities of Ukraine who work closely with RS. What is your attitude towards RS?
In 2008 , RS registered and issued the first issue of the Russo Ethno-Literary Journal (Russian Word of Ukraine).
In 2013 , RS with the All-Ukrainian Union “Russian Commonwealth” and the Kiev Society of Russian Compatriots Rodina addressed the head of the Kiev City State Administration A.P. Popov with a request to conduct restoration work of the monument to A.S. Pushkin on Victory Avenue and reconstruction and ennoblement of the surrounding area.
